In the Hoof Prints of Chinggis Khan
In a country where horses outnumber nomadic herdsmen by 12 to 1, the horse is still the main means of transportation. Without any doubt, riding on the back of a horse gives you a much more accurate perspective on the Mongolian way of life. We follow in the hoof prints of Chinggis Khan, visiting the place of his birth and tracing the pathways of the young Khan to Blue Lake, where he became Tenggis Khan - the greatest of kings - and then to the foothills of Burkhan Khaldun, his mountain stronghold, now one of Mongolia’s most sacred places. This horse trek is tremendous cultural journey steeped in history and legend.
