Dog Sledding

These spectacular winter trips feature dog sledding at Terelj National Park or at Lake Khuvsgul with a highly experienced guide and trainer of sled dogs. Most of the overnights on the dog sledding trail will be spent with nomadic families in their cozy gers, the traditional felt dwelling of the Mongols. Sharing a ger with a nomadic family is an unforgettable experience. You’ll discover a different world, a different culture combining ancient and modern customs in harmony, and a different notion of time.

Because a maximum of 5 guests can travel on each trip, we are able to organize family stays along the sledding route and also in other parts of Mongolia that you may wish to visit. Family stays bring much needed winter cash income to rurual families, and as part of our our committment to responsible travel we try to source as many supplies and services as possible in local communities. Dog sledding is also an eco-friendly way of exploring Mongolia's national parks. All emissions produced are biodegradable!
